Seeds of Scotland
Beetroot - Touchstone Gold *NEW 2024/25*
Beta vulgaris - approximately 200 seeds.
These globe-shaped beets are vibrant orange on the outside and golden yellow on the inside. They have a delicious sweet flavour that is not too earthy , great raw in salads but we prefer it roasted when it is particularly tasty. Touchstone Gold has been our favourite yellow beetroot for a few years now. It is quite difficult to get a hold of in the UK so we are really pleased to now have it available in our catalogue
Growing Info
Sow in modules indoors in March/April and transplant 4/5 weeks later for an early crop. Alternatively direct sow outside from April/May onwards. Sowings made in June/Early July should grow into good storage roots.
Tips: Don't forget, you can eat the leaves too.
