Lettuce - Marvel of Four Seasons
Lactuca sativa - approximately 200 seeds.
Butterhead lettuce with deep red outer leaves and light green heart, a crisp texture and great flavour. Tolerant of cool conditions, this hardy and reliable French heirloom variety is known to grow well in a wide range of conditions all year round.
Growing Info
Sow in modules indoors from Feb/Mar for planting out 4/5 weeks later. Direct sow or continue to sow in modules from April onward. Some protection in the form of a cloche or fleece may be needed for young transplants if planted out early in the year when there is still a high risk of frost. Continue to successionally sow until September (for an overwintering crop).
